Child Care
Professional Foster Parent
Full Time Live-in
The Professional Foster Parent sits at the center of our model of care and is responsible for the creation and maintenance of a healthy, positive, long-term living environment. This is a live-in full-time role.
Emergency Foster Parent

The Emergency Foster Parent provides a stable and healing home environment for youth in need, typically short-term for emergency purposes.
Live-In Relief Parent

The Live-In Relief Parent (LIRP) lives on the Village (at Chicago Village) in an apartment provided by One Family Illinois. The role of the LIRP is to provide full-time support and assistance to the Professional Foster Parents at any of the three Villages.
Relief Parent
Part Time
The Relief Parent assists the One Family Illinois Foster Parent in providing care and services to the children including transportation of children to recreational activities, homework assistance and therapy, and additional supervision of the children while a Foster Parent is using relief time/time off.

Child Welfare Specialist
Full Time
The Child Welfare Specialist provides services to One Family Illinois children and their families in order to achieve the particular case goal of the client service plan. Now hiring at our Lockport Village.
Bilingual Child Welfare Specialist

The Bilingual Child Welfare Specialist works to provides services to One Family Illinois children and their families (Spanish and English speaking families) in order to achieve the particular case goal of the client service plan. Now hiring at our Chicago Villages.
Clinical Therapist
Full Time
The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing professional clinical services including assessments, interventions, consultations, crisis intervention and psycho-social-educational therapeutic services to children, youth, families and caregivers served by One Family Illinois and within our surrounding communities.
Youth Advocate Caseworker
Full Time
The Youth Advocate Caseworker is responsible for supporting youth assigned through DCFS appointee and provide wrap-around services that would lead to permanent housing.
Administrative
Executive Assistant
Full Time
The Executive Assistant (EA) primarily supports the CEO and oversees Board relations (Governance) for the agency. The EA will be tasked with handling special projects as they relate to supporting the CEO and CAO to achieve the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
Village Program Assistant
Full Time
The Village Program Assistant works on-site at the Village to directly and indirectly support the children, families, and staff associated with the One Family Illinois sibling foster care program, including the education, clinical, and licensing departments and functions.
Business Manager
Full Time
The Business Manager helps with financial, vehicular/transportation, and purchasing functions under One Family Illinois for Chicago Village and Roosevelt Square Village foster care programs and services, including on the Villages (Chicago area sites) and the community. They may also assist with Accounts Payable functions at our Downtown location.
Accounting Intern
Part Time
The Accounting Intern has the opportunity to work directly with the Chief Financial Officer and learn best practices for safeguarding an organization’s assets by working on compliance regarding all aspects of resource outlay and usage by the organization. This includes use and preservation of cash and physical assets, as well as contract performance by One Family Illinois staff and vendors.

Volunteers can join as tutors or in variety of areas such as community programming, gardening, workforce development or events at one or all of the One Family Illinois sites.

Employment Benefits
PPO or HMO plans for healthcare are offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield, which you may qualify for after 90 days of full-time employment.
Vision Care and Dental Care are offered through Guardian.
Paid Time Off, including Vacation Time, Sick Time, and Personal Time. Vacation Time is accrued depending on the length of service — the longer you are with One Family Illinois, the more vacation time you earn!
One Family Illinois also offers Life Insurance covered by employer (with optional add-on’s for employees). A&D, Long-Term and Short-Term Disability, and more.
Ability to contribute to a 403B Retirement Savings Plan (similar to a 401K but for nonprofits), which you can contribute to yourselves out of your paychecks immediately if you choose to do so and after 12 months, the company will contribute 4% on your behalf.
The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer. More information can be found here. One Family Illinois qualifies as a registered 501(c)3.
Partial tuition remission is available for employees after 18 months of service, with relevant coursework prioritized to better equip our community to serve others through their departments.
