We continue to fulfill our mission, with help from a transformational contribution from Maestro Cares.
On Sunday, December 4, 2016, before the start of the Marc Anthony concert at the Allstate Arena, in Rosemont, IL, Maestro Cares Foundation Co-Founders Marc Anthony, music icon, and Henry Cardenas, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cardenas Marketing Network, presented a $500,000 check to One Family Illinois.
We are honored and grateful for their extraordinary contribution, which will help us realize our vision for a new community center on the near west side of Chicago—within blocks of our Roosevelt Square Village.
The community center will be the final piece in creating a complete Village at our Roosevelt Square location, our newest Village. It will be equipped with academic, therapeutic, social, and recreational services and activities for the children in our care, and for the greater neighborhood. It is our hope that it will be a central, safe gathering space for residents and community members.
The community center project is a very meaningful way for One Family Illinois to partner with Maestro Cares Foundation, an organization that also places high priority on expanding outreach and much-needed services to vulnerable children in Chicago.
Our sincere thanks to Maestro Cares Foundation, Marc Anthony, Henry Cardenas, and the Cardenas Marketing Network for their support and partnership. Read more about this transformational gift here, and learn more about Maestro Cares Foundation at maestrocares.org.
