Your Voice Has Been Heard: Five Visual Highlights of the #Voices4FosterCareCampaign

Your voice has been heard loud and clear. With your help, we were able to amplify our voices to new volumes during Child Abuse Prevention Month and Foster Care Awareness Month. Our #Voices4FosterCare campaign brought new and renewed attention to One Family Illinois. Here are just five highlights of our collective voice during this special moment in 2019:

Across our social media platforms and website pages, nearly 500,000 viewers, friends, and followers stopped to view content as part of the #Voices4FosterCare campaign. Here, Tevin Marbeth — actor and One Family Illinois Alumni — shared his words with our guests during one of the Dining & Conversation programs. Stories about Tevin’s upbringing at One Family Illinois were among some of our most enjoyed social media moments in April and May.
From WGN News to ABC to local news stations and publications — coverage of the #Voices4FosterCare campaign, launched by Christian Bale, reached wide audiences on television, radio, and web.
#Voices4FosterCare called upon the dedicated support and compassion of our civic and business partners across Illinois. Sodexo, our 2019 Dining & Conversation sponsor, stood at the front of the pack as a voice for advocacy and awareness of One Family Illinois.
Online interest in becoming a Foster Parent at One Family Illinois reached new heights in April and May, as web and social media users engaged in content related to #Voices4FosterCare at higher volumes than ever before. Jenny Wray, an One Family Illinois Foster Parent, lent her own voice during Dining & Conversation.
Along with thousands of people reached in person and online, One Family Illinois caught the attention of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who spoke at our 2019 Dining & Conversation event on May 1.
