One Family Illinois recently marked a momentous occasion with our inaugural “One Family Illinois Gives Thanks” event, a gathering that brought together friends, partners, and donors to celebrate the impactful work of our organization. In this inaugural year, the event held a special significance as it also served as a platform to express gratitude and recognize the unwavering support of those who champion our mission. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the “It Takes a Village” Impact Award, a prestigious acknowledgment reserved for individuals who embody the true spirit of humanitarianism and have significantly contributed to One Family Illinois’ mission success.
This year’s recipient of the “It Takes a Village” Impact Award was none other than our esteemed Board member, Rama Dandamudi, M.D. Dr. Dandamudi’s years of dedication and advocacy for our mission were celebrated as he received this well-deserved honor. Rama is a Chicago-based entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience creating and managing businesses within the residential design industry. Currently, he is the president and founder of 210 Design House, a lifestyle showroom offering a curated collection of internationally acclaimed, high-end interiors products, while remaining active with charitable organizations focused on child welfare and education such as One Family Illinois.
The success of the event was a testament to the collaborative efforts of everyone involved, from attendees to donors, and served as a heartwarming expression of our appreciation for the collective support that enables us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
