Specialist Staffing Group, the US division of SThree plc, hosts its 3rd Annual Auction of Promises on Wednesday, June 15th, from 6:00pm-10:00pm at the luxurious Chez Chicago (247 E. Ontario St., Chicago, IL 60611). All proceeds from the event will benefit One Family Illinois and help approximately 500 children receiving support right here in Illinois.
“No Limiting Beliefs is a phrase we commonly use when we look at the way we approach new business opportunities,” said Ginnette Harvey, Vice President, Specialist Staffing Group. “It also applies in our aspirations to take Auction of Promises to a new level this year and raise more money for One Family Illinois than ever before.”
SThree plc, which is headquartered in the UK, has partnered with global SOS Children’s Villages for the last seven years.The company’s contribution to SOS Children’s Villages internationally includes:
- Since 2010, funding 14 scholarships in the UK for talented students who would otherwise struggle financially to attend university.
- In 2015, donating over $250,000 to SOS Children’s Villages, bringing the 7-year partnership total to over $1 million.
- Continuing to have a profound impact on the Chipata Village in Zambia, Africa, by providing such services as: schooling, uniforms and medical treatment.
The Auction of Promises event has transformed dramatically over the past three years. What started as a modest event in 2014 in an apartment community space with $24,000 raised, grew into nearly 250 guests at the historic Franklin Building and $50,000 raised in 2015. Proceeds raised at the 2015 Auction will support the building of a new community center at One Family Illinois’ Roosevelt Square Village.
The 3rd Annual Auction of Promises will take the event to new heights. Chez Chicago offers a luxurious space to host roughly 300 guests from the Chicago business community for a Wednesday to remember. Guests will be greeted with champagne, an open bar, hors d’ oeuvres, a live luxury auction, and nationally renowned DJ Zeke (NBA-Hall-of-Famer Isiah Thomas’ Son).
