This month we’re speaking about #RaisingSuperheroes. Those superheroes include every child in foster care and all the children in our care at One Family Illinois.
At One Family Illinois, we have the special honor of watching siblings united, sometimes reunited, and living and growing together as a family. Our Sibling Foster Care program gives children in foster care an important opportunity to remain with their brothers and sisters in a stable and safe environment in one of our Villages. These intentional communities are built with single-family homes that allow up to six siblings in one home in the care of a full-time, professional Foster Parent, providing children therapeutic, educational, and developmental support services.
#SuperSiblings Enter to Win Instagram Campaign
We know the important and special bonds siblings share. Supporting the growth and development of those relationships is very close to our mission and work. We’re sure that many of you also hold these bonds dear, which is why we want to hear from you.
The #SuperSiblings Enter to Win Instagram campaign allows you the chance to share what you admire and appreciate about your own super siblings. By participating, you also enter to win two tickets to our signature fall event, Evening of Hope. Evening of Hope raises awareness and funds to support the programs at One Family Illinois. The event draws dozens of corporate sponsors and hundreds of guests. See photos of the 2016 event here.
Here is how it works:
- Review the #SuperSiblings Enter to Win Rules.
- Download and complete one of our #SuperSiblings Entry Forms, as shown in the example submission above. Honor your Super Brother, Super Sister, or Super Siblings.
- Email your completed form as a .pdf or .png file to communications@onefamilyillinois.org with “Super Siblings” in the subject line. Please include your Instagram handle in the body of the email.
- Follow us on Instagram (@onefamilyillinois), if you do not already.
- Lastly, if you haven’t yet, sign up for our e-newsletter.
All entries must be submitted to communications@onefamilyillinois.org by April 22, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. CST. Only one entry allowed per person; all contestants must be 21 years or older by May 2, 2017.
All entries will be showcased on our Instagram feed beginning on April 25, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. CST. The entry with the most “likes” by May 2, 2017, at 12:00 p.m. CST, will be declared our winner, pending all entry rules have been followed and qualifications met. Note: Only entries that can be tied to an e-newsletter subscriber and Instagram follower will be eligible to win. Only entries submitted between April 10 at 12:00 a.m. and April 22 at 11:59 p.m. CST, will be accepted.
