As we celebrate the end of another year, we are immensely grateful for our generous corporate partners and donors who helped to make the 2021 holiday season merry and bright. This past holiday, once again, looked a bit different for our families, as we created a hybrid approach to the holidays with both online and in-person options for donating to children and families in need this holiday season. In addition to some companies donating toys, our amazing supporters also were enthusiastic about creating teams and raising funds to make charitable donations directly to our Holiday Giving Program. This outpouring of support made this winter special for our Village families and those we serve in the community. We cannot thank you enough!
2021 Holiday Giving Sponsors
Through our Holiday Giving Program, sponsors and corporate partners from around the country gathered together to make the winter holidays a joyous time for children in Illinois foster care. Your generosity made it possible for every child in our care to open a gift during the holiday season. Thank you for showing our children that others are always thinking of them and for helping us teach each child the power of generosity and giving.
In addition to gifts, there were a number of amazing events that our children and families were able to participate in during the holidays. On Tuesday, December 7, we kicked off our holiday celebrations with a visit from the elves from the The Bohne Foundation who brought their holiday cheer to our Lockport Village making this season jolly for all the children in our care.
The children at One Family Illinois were thrilled when they received a special gift from Deon Bush from the Chicago Bears for some holiday shopping this season. Through Deon and his friends at Target, our children and families were able to pick out things on their list right inside the store. Check out the video. We can’t thank our friends at Subzero Midwest enough. There is nothing like baking cookies during the holidays. Our friends at Subzero Midwest surprised the children in our care with cookie kits and pizzas to bake, making this season so much brighter for the community. Thank you chefs!

About the Holiday Giving Program
The Holiday Giving Program supports the children in our care by sharing gifts of joy and comfort during the holiday season. Through your gifts and sponsorships, every child in our care will receive something special to help them to feel loved and supported, which is especially important during what is often a very difficult time of the year.
