The first month of a new year is coming to a close, and we can say with confidence that 2016 is off to a promising start at One Family Illinois. That is in no small part attributed to you, our extended family, and your kindness and generosity throughout 2015.
It’s thanks to our corporate partners, sponsors, and volunteers who made the 2015 holiday season a special one. From hosting Village parties in the company of Santa, decorating in preparation for those festivities, or providing and distributing myriad gifts, we could not have brought the joy of the season to our children and families without you.
Adding to this generosity of spirit, Make It Better Foundation gave each child in our Villages the gift of warmth, with a donation of coats and winter gear. Our hearts were warmed by this gesture that also helps ensure the warmth and protection of our youth throughout the winter months.
Those are just a few of the remarkable contributions and good news you’ve brought to our community. If we look back further, we can see evidence of much more good news in 2015 that you helped make possible, which we celebrate and encourage you to share with your communities and loved ones.
As we look forward to the coming days and months of 2016, we, as an organization and community, will continue our mission to unite brothers and sisters, provide the best possible care to all of the children we serve, and commit ourselves to growing in our ability to better support and guide our youth. We are here because of your tremendous support this past year, and it propels us forward toward new beginnings this year.
